In a dramatic ending the SSB SSB Tar Heels staged a comeback and held on to
win over the Dublin Pubcrawlers by the count of 6 to 5.
SSB came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs
on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Gary Sheffield started the attack as
he doubled. One out later, B.J. Upton stepped up to the plate and he was
walked intentionally. Jason Giambi then doubled scoring two baserunners.
SSB banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.
The victory went to Bob Howry(2-2) who went 2 innings, allowing 1 run. Mariano
Rivera got the save, his 14th. Chris Capuano(2-2) was hit with the loss in
relief.
